5 weeks until I graduate from Cedarville University. I can not wait. It will be great. Now I am student teaching. I am really getting into it..I have the canvas bag with my students hands drawn and colored with markers all over it. I wear big jewelry, and all 1st graders, say, "OOOoohh, Miss Knaus, you are so pretty, I love your necklace." Ha ha, it is so fun. It will be great to have my own class someday though, for that I can not wait.

1 week, until I see my family from VA!

I had not just one but two snow days off this week, or actually cold days, it was 1 degree today and it snowed and snowed and snowed. It was wonderful. I have this free feeling of doing nothing but watching old movies and drinking hot chocolate.
Except tonight, I got to play football and ultimate frisbee in the foot of snow. Amanda invited me to join a group of friends and it was awesome. I am usually terrible at the sports, but everyone is terrible in the slippery, cold snow so it was great. One of the best things was watching Amanda. She is crazy, she would take people down and then everyone would tackle her. Another thing was wrestling/being thrown in the snow from guys. It was so great and I laughed so hard.

I don't know how anyone can live in a place without the snow.
On my free day, I got to talk to my dear family in Lynchburg. It was so much fun. That family cracks me up and I have such a good time with the kids. I miss living so far away from my family.

Student teaching is going great. I love working with my first graders. But it was so nice to have a snow day today.
My roomates are pretty amazing too, we watched "The Music Man" tonight and there is nothing like a good musical to warm the heart.

"There must be a rule that the song under the credits, remotely relates to the movies basic plot, but it has nothing to do with the movie so we'll say..hey, hey hey hey heyyyy hey hey."

"You call this a multimedia event?"

"You ain't nothin but a hounddog."

"The eye of the tiger..."

"To reject this world and embrace the cross..I pledge allegiance....."

THese are all songs I heard from my IPOD tonight as I ran with my dear friend Amanda, it was so hard, we did 19 miles in training for our marathon. Sadly we ran about an hour of it in the dark but it really felt great. The music really helps; it inspires, or just makes me laugh. My friend is such a trooper and really encouraged me to press on, simply by running right next to me. It felt so good to run especially when my boyfriend picked us up in Yellow Springs, and we went out to ice cream with a special friend he brought along. It was such a great night and what makes it even better is that I will run my next long run, with my brothers Stephen and Sam. They have been training in the south and we complain or explain how our runs went. Sometimes Marcia, David Stephen, Sam and I talk about our running pains but it always ends in how amazing a run it was, whether it was kilometers, in the sand, in the cold, flat or hilly, running keeps us going and makes us want to go do it again.

I am so excited because I will see my amazing family in less than one week! I will bring my boyfriend down to Lynchburg, VA, a dear little spot to meet my family and then I will celebrate thanksgiving, a family tradition as well as my birthday.

This is really random but today I am going for a 6 mile run with my brother around a small, quaint lake, away from the city. However it is 77 degrees already, so it will be a hot run. These days I miss my old northern home and wish I could return to the mountains or even the cornfields for a cool run or hang out with old friends.

This summer has been unbelievable. The best part, I can now drive a stickshift pretty well, and I love it. I highly encourage everyone to learn to drive a standard becuase it is awesome.

I have also found out that I passed my Praxis tests, that horrid testing day definitely demanded too much out of me to retake. Praise God!

For anyone that has read this, I thank you indeed, please let me know how you are.
